I'm obsessed with Hippos right now, I love crafting them in all shapes and sizes. I have a particularly cute felt one looking at me quizzically wondering why he's orange.
I think he had too much squash, but he said it was the orange jelly and orange ice cream he ate for 5 days straight. Either way he's lovely. Haven't decided on a name for him yet, I originally thought he was a 'she'...
I soon got corrected.
He's a test piece, so he won't be for sale, I'm still ironing out the pattern I roughly sketched, he needs some tweaks, but I'm sure I'll sort him out so he gets longer legs and better ears.
But it's nice to see a hand stitched creation that I brought into being out of thin air.
